Active ingredient: clarithromycin - 250 mg;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose -33.0 mg, potato starch - 15.0 mg, povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone) - 12.0 mg sodium carboxymethyl - 7.0 mg of magnesium stearate - 3.0 mg.
Excipients (coating): hypromellose - 5.4 mg Macrogol 4000 - 1.6 mg, 3,0 mg of titanium dioxide.
Description: Tablets lenticular shape without risks, film-coated white or almost white. Presence of low surface roughness.

Clarithromycin is a semisynthetic antibiotic macrolides and has antibacterial action, interacting with the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria and suppressing protein synthesis.
Clarithromycin over the counter
It is shown that clarithromycin has antibacterial activity against the following pathogens:
Aerobic gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia, Streptococcus pyogenes, Listeria monocytogenes.
Aerobic gram-negative microorganisms: Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Branhamella (Moraxella) catarrhalis, Neiserria gonorrhoeae, Legionella pneumophila. Other microorganisms: Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae. Mycobacteria: Mycobacterium leprae, Mycobacterium kansasii, Mycobacterium chelonae, Mycobacterium fortuitum, Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC): Mycobacterium avium, Mycobacterium intracellulare.
Production of beta-lactamase does not influence the activity of clarithromycin. Most strains of staphylococci resistant to methicillin and oxacillin resistant and have to clarithromycin.

Clarithromycin has an effect in vitro in most strains against the following microorganisms: Aerobic Gram-positive bacteria Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococci (groups C, F, G), Viridans group streptococci; Aerobic gram-negative bacteria - Bordetella pertussis, Pasteurella multocida; anaerobic gram-positive bacteria Clostridium perfringens, Peptococcus niger, Propionibacterium acnes; anaerobic gram-negative bacteria - Bacteroides melaninogenicus; spirochete - Borrelia burgdorferi, Treponema pallidum; Campylobacter jejuni, Helicobacter pylori.
